A CHARITY curry night with the Mayor of Dudley has raised £180 for good causes.
The event at Wollaston restaurant East One on February 6 was organised by Norton Labour Party and raised money for the Mayor's chosen charities - the Friends of Alfie Johnson, Dudley CIL and Diabetes UK Dudley branch.
Councillor Mohammed Hanif, Mayor of Dudley, said: “It was a great night and I am really grateful to East One owner Raj Shah and his team for their hospitality.
“Their contribution to the local community with this event is one of hundreds across Dudley borough that have raised thousands of pounds for my charity appeal.”
East One owner Raj Shah said: “This is the second year we have hosted this event and we are really pleased to be able to help the Mayor and glad it raised so much for his chosen charities that help local people in need."
Norton Labour Party spokesman Geoff Dixon said: “This event was a great way for Norton Labour Party to get together and help local charities at the same time.
"It is now an annual event for us and we are delighted that East One have been so supportive.”
