STOURBRIDGE schoolchildren turned super sleuths when Ridgewood High School held a CSI style investigations day.
Youngsters from nearby primary schools were invited to the event at the Park Road West school - where they spent a day examining clues in a bid to solve a fictitious murder.
Ridgewood science teacher Ed Hamil and assistant headteacher Bev Hodt organised the event, held on Monday June 18, as a challenge inspired by hit TV show CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) for primary pupils gearing up to start secondary school in September.
Assistant headteacher Steve Tivey said the initiative was a chance for those about to graduate from primary schools to link together a host of different skills from subjects ranging from science to English to ICT.
He said: “They had to examine samples of hair, design police ID cards and write reports to try and solve the mystery.”
