YOUNGSTERS at Wollescote Primary School have been telling cops about their crime concerns.

Pupils got together with Cradley and Foxcote Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) for a new style junior PACT (Police and Communities Together) meeting.

Children told officers their main worries were increasing litter, awareness of personal safety and getting more information on preventing domestic burglary.

PCSO Jessica Johnson said: “As a neighbourhood team we think it’s just as important to get the views of young people as it is to hear about concerns that adults raise at our PACT meeting.

“Junior PACT has been really successful and the response we have had from the pupils has been very encouraging."

Officers will now be taking action on the children’s concerns including organising a litter pick at 9.30am on Friday December 10, covering the area around the school.

Meanwhile, adults can have their say at a PACT meeting on Monday November 29.

The meeting, at the High Acres pub, Madley Road, Kingswinford, starts at 7pm.

Sergeant Sharon Dalton, from Kingswinford police station, said: “PACT meetings are a chance for residents to inform local officers about things they are happy with or indeed issues which concern them.

“This can be anti-social behaviour, criminal matters, neighbour disputes or even feedback about the service received from local police officers and how we can improve.”
