WORDSLEY Amateur Dramatic Society is gearing up to stage Daphne Du Maurier’s bittersweet love story September Tide.

The play, directed by Dave Southall, will run at Kingswinford Methodist Church, Stream Road, Kingswinford, from Wednesday October 9 to Saturday September 12.

Du Maurier’s play, which is believed to have been inspired by events in the writer's own life, is set in the comfortable Cornish coastal home of widowed Stella Martyn who begins a passionate affair with her daughter Cherry’s new artist husband Evan Davies.

Performances start at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £7 (£6 concessions) and are available from the box office on 01384 273026.
