The February meeting was opened by chairman of the day Liz Hubbard who welcomed members and visitors.

The minutes of the previous meeting, prepared by secretary Liz Moseley, were signed and Rosemary Skidmore, treasurer, gave details of the finances to date. Rosemary also encouraged members to purchase the T. G. badge and then presented a cheque from the Community Centre’s 200 club to a delighted winner.

The lunch club will be at The Swan, Kingswinford on March 2, 12 for 12.30pm.

The Birthday Lunch is at Himley Country Hotel on April 27, cost £10.95 payable at the March meeting preferably by cheque. A reservation deposit from the guild was paid.

Coffee Mornings – These social gettogethers will resume on Wednesday 11th March at the home of Pat Hadley. It is a good time to get to know each other particularly new members. Barbara Taylor gave details of a musical performed by TAB, ‘Summer Holiday’ at Brierley Hill Civic Hall on Saturday March 28, matinee at 2pm, £12.

Also of Quarry Bank, West Bromwich and Cradley Heath Operatic Society productions.

The next meeting on March 16 will be the Annual General Meeting. On April 20, ‘Would you believe it’ is the theme of a humorous talk by Chris Smith.

Visitors are always welcome to the guild morning meetings £2.50, including refreshments, which are held at the Wordsley Green Community Centre on the third Monday of each month, at 10am.
