IMAGES have been released of a suspected burglar after cash and jewellery worth more than £10,000 was stolen from a Wordsley family.

The suspect was captured on camera two days after the crime, on April 1, selling on silver ingots to a jewellers in Birmingham, which were later identified as having been stolen during the break in.

The burglary took place in broad daylight on the morning of March 30, where the intruder smashed a window of a Kinver Street house.

Police said the thief searched the house, leaving “a trail of destruction” throughout the property, before stealing a safe which contained several thousand pounds and valuable items of jewellery and coins.

DC Sean Corrigan, from Dudley investigation team, said: “We want to hear from anyone who recognises the man pictured as we believe he was in possession of items stolen during the burglary, therefore is likely to be of significant interest to our investigation.”
