WORDSLEY thespians hope to have audience members falling off their seats with their latest comedy thriller performance.

The award-winning Wordsley Amateur Dramatic Society are presenting Murder in Play at Kingswinford Methodist Church, in Stream Road, until Saturday October 10.

Penned by Simon Brett, a renowned novelist, TV and radio writer, and playwright, the hilarious theatrical murder mystery is a worthy companion to his Charles Paris theatrical thriller novels.

The play within a play features Boris Smolensky's budget repertory production of ‘Murder at Priorswell Manor’, with the cast more interested in their egos than the production.

But then life imitates art when Boris's wife, Renee, is murdered on stage.

The text satirizes the politics of the inept company, while numerous red herrings keep the audience guessing until the final moments of the play.
