The November meeting was opened by Chairman of the day Wendy Lloyd who welcomed members and visitors. Members stood and a minutes silence was observed for those who lost their lives in the Paris atrocities at the weekend. Minutes of the previous meeting were signed and Rosemary Skidmore, treasurer, gave a details of the accounts to date.

Federation Report Members were reminded of the Christmas Carol Service, at St. Thomas’s Church, Market Street, Stourbridge on December 12 2pm. The Inter Guild Quiz and National General Knowledge Quiz are in the planning stages.

Guild Lunch Club – The Himley Country Hotel booking for our Christmas Lunch has now changed from Monday December 7 to November 30, 12 for 12.30pm.

Coffee Mornings These will discontinue for the time being and will resume at the beginning of next year.

Barbara Taylor gave details of the TAB production of ‘Grease’ next March at Brierley Hill Civic Hall.

Tickets £11 The Chairman then introduced Ray Sturdy who gave a nostalgic quiz featuring scenes of 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. Music was played of old wireless programme signature tunes and voices from some of the programmes of that era. The vote of thanks was given by Liz Hubbard.

The next meeting on December 21 will be a ‘Party Time’ theme with Beryl Brisco entertaining with songs and a sing-a-long followed by tea, coffee and cakes.

Visitors are very welcome at a small charge of £2.50 including the refreshments.

Meetings are held at Wordsley Green Community Centre on the third Monday of the month at 10am.
