YOUNGSTERS from Ashwood Park Primary in Wordsley were lucky enough to be invited to meet the Mayor of Dudley in the Mayor’s Parlour.
Members of the School Council were treated to a guided tour of the council chamber and the Mayor – Councillor Steve Waltho - donned his robes and chatted about the significance of the insignia.
The youngsters were then treated to refreshments in the Mayor's parlour.
Headteacher Keith Butler said: “The children had a wonderful insight into the role of our Mayor.”
