A REFUSE collector was injured when he was caught between a bin lorry and a car in Wordsley this morning (Tuesday).
The 53-year-old man was taken to Russells Hall Hospital with an arm injury following the incident which happened in Coldstream Drive at about 7.50am.
An ambulance was sent to the scene and a spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said crews arrived to find the man had been "caught between the car and lorry as the car went by the lorry".
Two colleagues, a 48-year-old man and a 37-year-old man - who had gone to assist, were also checked over at the scene.
The ambulance spokesman added: “The man driving the car was uninjured.”
