THE thrilling murder mystery Curtain Up On Murder will be brought to life by Wordsley Amateur Dramatic Society as the group’s latest production comes to the stage.

Running at Kingswinford Methodist Church, in Stream Road, from Wednesday October 5 until Saturday October 8, at 7.30pm, the play, written by Bettine Manktelow, follows the story of an amateur theatre company.

The company are rehearsing in the theatre at the end of the pier but when storms rage overhead they discover the doors are locked and they are trapped.

But then a mysterious, ghostly presence passes across the stage, and when the assistant stage manager falls to certain death through a trapdoor, the remaining actors are thrown into disarray.

Their panic increases when one of the actresses is poisoned and it becomes evident that a murderer is in their midst.

Tickets, priced £7 (£6 concessions available for pensioners and full-time students under 21), are available from the box office on 01384 353662.
