TEENAGE traders are heading to the Red House Glass Cone as the Wordsley venue gets set to host a market specifically for 13 to 23-year-olds.

The teenage market on Saturday, March 25, which forms part of Dudley Council’s Love Your Community focus, will be the third time the visitor attraction has hosted the event.

It will once again feature stalls selling jewellery, trinkets, cakes, sweets, photography, greetings cards, crafts and bunting, meaning visitors can stock up on gifts just in time for Mother’s Day.

There are still slots available for stall holders and performers, with the last day to register for a place being Monday (March 13), although stalls selling baked goods or confectionery will no longer be accepted.

Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member for planning and economic development, said: “I am delighted that we are running more teenage markets.

“They provide an excellent opportunity for young people to learn about marketing, selling and performing, while gaining confidence and independence.

“Scores of teenagers have already enjoyed being part of the borough’s teenage market success and I hope that even more will reap the benefit this spring.”
