GLAMOUR is set to be the theme for a weekend of events at Wordsley’s Red House Glass Cone.

The popular High Street tourist attraction will be open on Saturday June 19 for a classy craft market featuring handmade gifts from studio artists including lace items by Kate Slater.

The fayre will also feature family attractions including free glassblowing demonstrations, self guided tours of the historic cone, children’s craft activities for just £1, children’s games in the courtyard and a free activity trail.

On Sunday June 20, the event will continue with a wedding fayre featuring suppliers providing a range of services to help people prepare for their big day.

Councillor David Stanley, Dudley cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “There’s always a real buzz about the craft markets and the wedding fayre at the cone.

“We have a new artist at the cone too, textile designer Kate Slater who will be showcasing her corsages and fascinators on the Sunday.

“Kate is an exciting addition to the growing hub of creativity at the Red House Glass Cone and definitely one to watch for the future.”

Both events are open from 11am to 4pm, for more information call 01384 812750 or visit www.dudley.gov.uk
