Facebook has finally listened to its users and has designed something similar to a "dislike" buton.
The "downvote" button is being tested on a small number of Facebook users and applies only to comments.
When clicked, it hides a comment and is intended for flagging offensive comments to moderators.
Although not exactly what millions of people have campaigned for for many years, the feature is at least a step in the right direction.
A spokesman for Facebook said: "We are not testing a dislike button.
"We are exploring a feature for people to give us feedback about comments on public page posts. This is running for a small set of people in the US only."
