Dudley borough residents are being urged to lookout for details of this year’s Christmas waste and recycling collections.

Households will have altered collections between Monday 23 December and Friday 3 January and flyers detailing the changes are being delivered to all borough homes in the lead up to Christmas.

Details of the altered collections are also available on the council’s website and by contacting Dudley Council Plus.

Waste and recycling should be placed outside for collection by 6.30am and residents are advised that collections may be earlier than usual during the Christmas period.

Residents who have recycling that doesn’t all fit in the container provided can place it in another suitable container for collection.

Any additional, bulky waste can be collected via the council’s chargeable bulky waste collection service. The household waste sites, located in Stourbridge and Coseley, also recycle a large number of items including Christmas trees and unwanted electrical goods.

Councillor Tracy Wood, cabinet member for environment and culture, said:

“Residents are reminded that waste and recycling collections will be altered over the Christmas period but everyone will receive a full collection service during this time.

"We are sending flyers to all our borough residents to let them know the details of our collections but residents who have any questions can call Dudley Council Plus for advice.”
