A BLACK Country charity is £1,000 better off after a food lovers dug deep at a Sedgley restaurant.
The Beacon Centre for the Blind, which helps people coping with sight loss, collected a £1,050 donation after a fundraising event at the Lime eatery in High Holborn.
The event was organised by Sedgley councillor Bill Etheridge and featured a five course meal and music.
Arwyn Jones, chief executive at Beacon, said: “I would like to say at massive thank you to Bill and all the staff at Lime Restaurant for organising the event. Everyone had a lovely time.”
