A CAT has been found hanged from a window frame at a derelict snooker club in Pensnett.

The animal had a cord noose tied around its neck, which had been attached to the window frame at the side of the club on High Oak.

RSPCA inspector Vicki Taylor said: “This is such a deeply distressing incident. There were scratch marks on the wall and the cat’s claws were worn down and his pads were bloody so he would have been struggling to free himself for some time."

The gruesome discovery was made at 2pm on Friday (February 27) but it is not known how long the cat had been there before being found.

She added: “You just can’t imagine the pain and distress this poor animal went through before he died.

“We need to find those who did this as if they are capable of subjecting an animal to such an ordeal it is worrying to think what else they might do.”

Anyone with information about the incident or those responsible should contact the RSPCA in confidence on 0300 1238018.
