A WORCESTER funeral home is appealing for help with a special Easter ‘egg-ercise’ in aid of local children.
Staff from The Co-operative Funeralcare in Lowesmoor are urging members of the public to hand in Easter eggs to the funeral home.
These chocolate treats will then be donated to the charity New Hope, which supports children with disabilities and complex health care needs.
Jean Gordon, manager of The Co-operative Funeralcare, said: “There are many youngsters in the local area who may welcome a bit of extra cheer this Easter.
“As a business at the heart of the community, we want to do our bit by trying to put a smile on as many local youngsters faces as possible.”
Easter eggs can be handed to staff at the funeral home until Wednesday, April 1.
The collection of Easter eggs will be presented to New Hope on Thursday, April 2. The charity will then distribute the eggs to the children in time for Easter.
