THOUSANDS of people have benefited from free mental health and wellbeing advice after downloading the borough’s mental health chief’s mobile app.

The WellMind app, which was developed by the Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust’s staff and service users, offers a wide range of advice, tips and tools.

Launched during last year’s World Mental Health Day download figures continue to grow, with the app being downloaded by 20 people a day on average Gary Graham, chief executive of the trust, said: “We are really pleased that people like WellMind, and that they are taking the opportunity to access mental health and wellbeing advice free of charge and literally in the palms of their hands.

“Stress, depression and anxiety are all common mental health problems and we hope that people find the app to be a useful tool for accessing advice and support.

“If you have any concerns about your mental health, please talk to your GP or another health professional.”

WellMind is free to download on iPhone, iPad and Android devices by searching ‘WellMind’ in the App Store or Google Play.
