SWIMMERS have been reminded that the pools at Halesowen Leisure Centre will be closed for three weeks due to essential maintenance work.
Heating to the pools will have to be turned off from May 18 to June 7 while the work is carried out, leaving temperatures too low for people to use them.
The rest of the leisure centre will remain open as normal, including the gym and fitness studios.
Swimming clubs which frequently use the pools have been offered alternative sessions at either Dudley Leisure Centre or Crystal Leisure Centre in Stourbridge, which are both open throughout the period that the Halesowen pools are closed.
John Millar, acting strategic director for environment, economy and housing, said: “There is never a good time to have to close any of our facilities but we have tried to time this essential work as best we can to minimise impact on users.”
