THERE should be plenty of laughs in store when a night of stand-up comedy returns to Stourbridge.

A psychic spirit medium and an inappropriate hospital radio DJ will top the bill courtesy of headline acts provided by Ian D Montford and Ivan Brackenbury.

The pair will be playing to the audience at Katie Fitzgerald's in Wollaston on Friday June 19 as the Fitz of Laughter Comedy Club stages its Summer Sizzler.

Montford, who hails from Sunderland, delves into the world of contacting dead celebrities, while Brackenbury provides crass dedications for the unfortunate patients at Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Hospital.

The pair will be supported by Tom Binns, who was voted best international act at New Zealand's 2013 International Comedy Festival.

Dudley's Wayne Beese. who founded Fitz of Laughter at the Enville Street pub, will compere the show.

He said: "Fitz of Laughter has gone better than we could have ever imagined. The Good Friday show we staged with Rob Deering was sold out with standing room only. The audience loved it and people keep coming back.

"We normally run on the first Thursday of every month with the focus on showcasing some of the best up and coming acts on the circuit.

"Over the spring and summer, we've decided to try putting on a few weekend shows with fully professional line-ups.

"It was packed over Easter and this show promises to be just as good, if not better."

Tickets for the Summer Sizzler cost £10 in advance or £15 on the door and they are available online from www.wegottickets.com/event/316646 or by contacting Wayne Beese on 07507 015397.
