VOLUNTEERS are needed to help make this year's Herefordshire Festival of Sport run smoothly.
Now in its fourth year, the community event organised by mental health charity Herefordshire Mind, has grown into a two-day feast for sport, mental and physical wellbeing, and community involvement.
The charity is now recruiting volunteers to ensure all aspects of the event, which takes place on September 19 and 20 and is backed by the Hereford Times, are a success.
Volunteers are needed for course preparation and set-up, race marshalling, the security team, festival stewards team and clean-up team.
Anyone interested in arranging a representative from Herefordshire Mind to deliver a presentation to a group to talk about the festival and its volunteering opportunities and benefits – including refreshments, wristband, free entry to a race – should email Adrian Wilcox on adrian.wilcox@herefordshire-mind.org.uk, call him on 01432 271643 or 07814 759698.
