POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Kidderminster this morning in which a 74-year-old woman suffered a serious head injury.
The woman was hit by a red Audi A3 on the A449 Worcester Road near the Hire It! tool rental shop at about 11am.
She was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where her condition is described as “critical”.
The road was closed between the bus station roundabout at Cobham Road for about four hours while investigations were carried out and the vehicle was recovered.
Police particularly want to speak to the occupants of a blue people carrier type vehicle which is thought to have been in the area at the time of the collision.

The male driver of the Audi was unhurt.
