PRIMROSE Hospice in Bromsgrove is celebrating after two fundraisers went to very different lengths to help raise money for the charity.

Pensioner Robert Lench from Tardebigge raised an impressive £600 in memory of his wife Brenda. He took on the challenge of an 18-mile dog walk with his four-legged friend Daisy, walking the canal towpath from Birmingham to Diglis Basin in Worcester over two days.

Another frequent supporter of the charity Elaine Bingham too her journey for the hospice upwards raising £610 by travelling 1,700ft up a mountain in Turkey to jump off, attached only to an instructor and a parachute.

She enjoyed 30 minutes of coasting through clouds and taking in some incredible views of the Turkish countryside, before landing safely.
