A FLY-tipper is paying the price for dumping rubbish in Netherton after being paid to get rid of it legally.

Andrew Pargeter, of Stretton Place, Netherton, had been contacted via Facebook and was employed to remove the waste by a nearby resident.

The 46-year-old dumped the bags of household waste on the Old Railway Walk off Stretton Place and council staff traced it back to the owner.

At Dudley Magistrates, Pargeter admitted not being a registered waste carrier, dumping the waste and failing in his duty of care in handling and disposing of the waste. He was fined £250 with £295 costs and £75 compensation.
