OVER 40 new jobs have been created on Quinton's doorstep as the Harvester on Hagley Road has been changed to a Miller and Carter.

The site, which is currently the Cock and Magpies Harvester, is due to open February 28 following an extensive refurbishment, which started on January 18.

The new Miller and Carter will be the second Birmingham site for the brand, with a popular steak house already located in the Mailbox.

Andy Beesley, general manager at Miller and Carter, said: “Bringing a new Miller and Carter to Birmingham is extremely exciting for the brand and the new restaurant will offer the best steaks and service that Miller and Carter is renowned for across the UK.

“The team is gearing up to start welcoming guests from the end of February and can’t wait to reveal our fabulous new look restaurant. Everyone who works here is completely obsessed with steak and we would encourage anyone who hasn’t been to the Miller & Carter to come and find out what we’re all about.”

He added: "Miller and Carter serve the finest 30 day aged steak, using both wet and dry ageing techniques to provide the optimum succulence and flavour.

"There are 12 fantastic steak cuts to choose from; including a 30oz Longbone Tomahawk, Fillet-on-the-bone, and our award-winning Sirloin steak.

"Each are individually hand cut by our butchers before they are grilled to perfection by our specially trained chefs."
