YOUNGSTERS at Alcester and Ragley Park cricket club have been kitted out thanks to the world famous Bunbury Cricket Club.

More than 100 youngsters aged 11 to 15 have been sponsored by Bunbury and cricket fan Harry Dyke.

Ian Biddle, head of the Alcester and Ragley Park Junior Section, said: "This is a new dawn for the club and how fantastic it was to have the world famous cricket club the Bunburys sponsor us."

Mr Dyke, also known a Harry the Fish, said: "Ragley is the perfect club and is one of the best grounds in the Midlands.

"I was hugely impressed with the clubs support of young cricket stars of the future and I am delighted to be helping out such a fantastic cause."

He added that he hoped that some of the young members would go on to play for county level and in the Bunbury Festival.

Previously, Mr Dyke hosted a celebrity charity game at Ragley in aid of Leukaemia Research and raised £10,000.

He since become a member of the charity cricket club, which has raised 17 million for charity.
