A DAZZLING array of vehicles were on display at the sixth annual Hampton Ferry Car and Bike Show in Evesham.

On Sunday, crowds of visitors flocked to peruse the interesting range of vintage cars, vans and bikes on show.

Despite wet weather threatening the event, it remained dry and the show was jam packed with guests of all ages.

Judging the vehicles was Geoff Smith, who said: "The show just gets better and better. Every year the categories become more difficult to judge with so many terrific vehicles to choose from."

Fran Webb, who helps organise the event, said: "It has been kept true to its roots, which is a very quiet, peaceful show. There is no loud music, no revving of engines and it is a wonderful sociable atmosphere. It is a day out for the family.

"Long may it continue."

The Best in Show awards for each category were: Patrick Brotherton, who won Best Vintage 1919 - 1929 for his Morris Oxford; Sandra Harris, who scooped Best Vintage Pre 1959 for her Austin Box 7; Bob Heppell, taking Best Classic Pre 1969 for his Jaguar E Type; Steve Vent, who won Best Modern Classic 1970 for his Jaguar XK8; Lee Aubrey, from Wolverhampton, who won the Den Deeley Memorial Award for Furthest Travelled with his Mk I Golf Convertible; Arthur Burroughes who scooped Best Bike in Show for his Norton Commando; and finally Robert Berry, who won Spirit of Hampton Ferry with his 1896 Singer Tricycle, alongside Stephen Smith with his VW Campervan.
