WORK to improve the security and appearance of Churchfields multi-storey car park are set to resume.
From Monday, July 25 contractors will be onsite to remove the old doors and replace them with more secure ones.
The new doors are fire rated, secure and automated to make the building safer.
Once they are in place, the stairwells will be closed through August for redecoration.
Bromsgrove District Council is warning car park users that the works could cause disruption during this time.
Senior engineering technician Matthew Mead said: "We apologise for any disruption caused to car park users during this time and hope to get the works completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
"The old doors to the car park are in parts badly damaged through wear and tear as well as misuse, so the new doors will definitely improve the safety and security of the car park.”
