PREPARATIONS are gathering pace for this year’s Worcester Show.
The event, in its 11th year and being organised by Worcester City Council, is being held at Gheluvelt Park on Sunday, August 14.
This year’s show features more than 130 competitions in various classes including floral decorations, crafts, photography, cookery, clay and recycling.
For 2016 some new classes have also been organised, designed specifically for children and teenagers.
Competitions are judged and are free to enter.
The show also includes a variety of fun activities to keep children entertained including a Victorian carousel, a bouncy castle, a fancy dress competition and an owl display.
Michelle Newell, from Worcester City Council and one of the organisers, said: “We’ve come up with several new classes – children and young people will really love creating something from scratch and showing it off .”
To enter a show competition call the Customer Service Centre on 01905 722233 or visit worcestershow.org.uk.
Entries need to be made by 10am on Monday, August 8.
