A MAN entered a Bournheath resident's home claiming to look for intruders, but instead made off with her jewellery.

A resident of Parish Hill in Bromsgrove heard a noise in the hallway of her home around 8.45pm on September 26 and went to investigate.

She spotted a man standing in the doorway to the house, who then stated he had seen two young men walk through the back door, which he claimed had been left open.

The man then went upstairs to search for the apparent intruders, but came down soon after saying no one was there, and left through the front door.

The resident later found an upstairs drawer left open with some jewellery missing from inside.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting crime number 0662s.
