LAND on the edge of a green belt zone in Bromsgrove is being marked as a potential site for commercial development, with an asking price of £265,000.

The surplus parcel of land adjacent to Bromsgrove Ambulance Station, which currently belongs to West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, has been used by a motorway breakdown recovery firm for the last year, but is now up for sale.

The site covers three quarters of an acre at Barnsley Hall Drive in Lickey End, and is situated close to the main arterial routes into Bromsgrove and Kidderminster, with easy reach of the M5 and M42 motorways.

James Evans, from Halls Commercial, which is handling the sale, said the land could be used for a variety of alternative means, including commercial development, if the new owners are given planning consent.

He added: "Prospective purchasers should make their own enquiries relating to planning permission for alternative use of the site."

The ambulance trust is also seeking planning permission to create 20 extra car parking spaces for visitors on a separate piece of land adjacent to the station.

Interested buyers can book an appointment to view the site with Halls Commercial on 01743 282400.
