A THREE-year restoration project following a fire at a veterinary practice has finished.

Chaseview Veterinary Practice in Ross-on-Wye was hit by a devastating laundry room fire in 2015.

The vets only closed following the fire for a couple of days but a restoration, expansion and refurbishment project has been ongoing.

The £500,000 investment, supported by Barclays, is now complete and has provided additional consulting rooms, new reception area with dog and cat segregation zones, hospitalisation units, a full refurbishment of the surviving buildings and three new staff offices.

The domestic, livestock and equine practice based at Hildersley provides 24 hour veterinary services.

The business is co-owned and managed by vet Kate Kerry. The practice now employs 26 staff with nine qualified vets, conducting over 230 consultations and 20 operations every week.

Dr Kerry, said “We are a privately owned practice passionate about animal care rather than profitability. We have over 3500 registered clients across the practice and a commitment to continually invest in both our facilities and our staff to deliver the highest standards of animal care. The new build and refurbishment will allow us to reopen our books and provide further quality, affordable care to more animals within the local area.”
