TWO men armed with a gun and a hammer threatened members of staff during a raid on a service station in Belbroughton.

The duo entered the Shell Service Station on Bromsgrove Road just before 10.30pm on Wednesday, May 16.

One member of staff was threatened with the gun and a hammer to open the safe.

The armed robbers were unsuccessful and stole alcohol, cigarettes and a small amount of money from the till, placing them in a green bag for life.

They left through the back door of the service station and initial reports indicate they got into a small vehicle, possibly a Renault Clio, parked to the left of the garage with the engine running.

The two robbers are both described as white males, approximately 5ft 6ins tall, of average build and wearing hoodies and balaclavas.

A police spokesman said: "Police are examining CCTV and appealing for any witnesses to please contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 0750s of 16 May 2018."
