A DRINK driver was over the limit when he got in the car the day after a heavy night with friends.

Jonathan Keylock, 44, of Birch Avenue, Evesham was also driving without insurance when he was caught on the A46 Cheltenham Road.

Police pulled him up for having no insurance and could smell alcohol on his breath.

Joanna Outhwaite, defending, said: "It was the aftermath of heavy drinking. He had been up into the early hours drinking with friends and didn't realise he would still be over the limit."

He was disqualified from driving for 36 months and fined £240 in total. He was told to pay £135 costs and a victim surcharge of £30.

Keylock appeared in Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday May 17.
