A HORSES team are riding from John O'Groats to Land's End on horseback.

Hesteyri Horses is a family run equestrian business focusing on giving all horses a chance, bringing out the best in their own horses and client horses as well as their extensive work rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing horses and ponies who have been neglected or abused.

The ride from John O'Groats to Land's End will raise money for The Dog's Trust, The Andrew Simpson Foundation, The Racehorse Sanctuary and Team Hesteyri's own work rescuing and rehabilitating horses and ponies.

This is a challenge which has only been attempted a recorded three times and the team will be travelling around 1000 miles in around six weeks.

It started on the 11th of June and have covered 1000 km already, taking them through Worcestershire on Sunday

The charities have been chosen because Hesteyri's really believe in the work that they do. The Dogs Trust rescues many dogs each year, including Hesteyri's collie, Mitch, and work hard to establish these dogs in a new, loving home.

The Andrew Simpson Foundation works to level sailing and offer equal chances to all young adults and children within the sport.

The Racehorse Sanctuary accepts and cares for racehorses after their careers.
