PUNTERS gathered to hear from the experts ahead of the famous Cheltenham Festival.

The festival took place last month as thousands of spectators assembled at the racecourse.

The Ebrington Arms held a preview night in which celebrated names from the world of racing including Talksport commentator Rupert Bell and local jockey Paddy Brennan, competing at Cheltenham and had his teeth knocked out during the race.

Local horse trainer Milton Harris and Talksport breakfast show host Alan Brazil completed the lineup.

Claire Alexander, landlord of the pub said: "A great night was had in The Ebrington Arms with racing owners, trainers and fans all coming for dinner and to hear the top tips for the week.

"Alan Brazil from Talksport also came along for the night with Rupert Bell who hosted the evening. But there was also a focus on raising money for the Injured Jockey Fund and we would love to thank the following especially, Diane Dewbery from Draycott who owns Pet Necessities (pet shop) in Moreton in Marsh who raised £605 in the pub raffle, Milton Harris, who gave tips on the night but also raised a whopping £4700 for a VIP trip to the famous St Moritz and Irish champion hurdle and £250 for a VIP visit to Skelton yard."

All the money raised for charity goes to The Injured Jockey Fund.
