HEALTHCARE staff at Bromsgrove and Redditch's Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will give up their beds for the night to help raise awareness and funds for north Worcestershire's homeless.

In total, 20 staff from the county's three CCGs will join colleagues from Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust for the CEO Sleepout challenge on Thursday, April 26.

The sleep-out at Sixways Stadium is one of dozens of fundraisers taking place across the country to help fight homelessness.

Dr Carl Ellson, strategic clinical lead for Bromsgrove and Redditch CCG, said: “It’s important that we do all we can to raise awareness of homelessness and this event offers an opportunity to do just that.

“It’s also a chance to support and raise vital funds for a number of charities and organisations across the county who offer help to the homeless.

“I’m pleased to see so many colleagues giving up their time and comforts for the night, for this great cause.”
