FIREFIGHTERS are still dealing with a fire in the open in Hartlebury which started around 17 hours ago.
Crews were called to Hartlebury Common at 7.05pm last night (July 10) when the incident broke out.
They remain at the scene and people are being urged to avoid the area. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Station Commander Ian Jallands said: “Four crews responded to the incident on Hartlebury Common last night and swiftly bought the fire under control using hosereel jets, beaters and water back packs.
“Three fire engines remain at the scene today to continue dampening down and we are asking members of the public to avoid the area.”
