A MAN was rushed to hospital after his car crashed through a barrier and plunged down an embankment in Kidderminster.
Ambulance, police and fire crews were called to the roundabout between the A448 Comberton Road and Oxford Street at around 5.45am on February 21.
When they got there they found the car, a black Audi A3, had left the carriageway and fallen down the embankment and on to the underpass beneath the ring road.
Fire crews had to cut the man, aged in his 20s, free as he was trapped in the wreckage of the car.
Ambulance staff treated him while this was taking place. He was given further care at the scene before he was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on blue lights.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "Police were called to Comberton Hill in Kidderminster shortly before 6am this morning (Wednesday) following a report a vehicle had left the road and gone down an embankment.
"Ambulance and fire service also attended and man was taken to hospital with reported back and leg injuries."
