POLICE are hunting a thief who stole a quad bike that isn’t roadworthy from a Bewdley house today (Friday, April 13).

The theft took place at the property in Birch Bank, Shatterford, at around 11.30am this morning.

Officers said CCTV footage shows a man taking the vehicle, which is a Sporting Green-coloured Polaris 400hq.

But they added that it is not road legal as the box on the front of the quad is broken and is held to the bike with plastic ties and there is grey tape melted to the exhaust.

Camera footage shows a ‘large build’ man wearing a dark hooded top and dark jogging bottoms taking the vehicle.

Anyone with any information that can help identify the thief or the location of the stolen quad is asked to contact the police on 101 quoting reference 0252S 130418 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
