A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault following a road rage incident in Kidderminster which left a pensioner injured.

Police were called to Bewdley Road, near Kidderminster Hospital, at around 3pm on Saturday (April 14).

The victim, a 78-year-old man, suffered injuries to his head, arms and legs during the incident, which occurred after a reported altercation between him and the suspect. The suspect drove away from the scene.

Police arrested a 51-year-old man from Ludlow in connection with the incident and has been bailed until later in the week while investigations continue.

Detective Constable Eleanor Jones said: "This was a vicious attack on an elderly gentleman that has left him with injuries to his head, arms and legs.

"We're carrying out a thorough enquiry to establish what happened and would appeal for anyone with information to contact us."
