AN AMERICANA extravaganza is ready to rouse roots music revellers at Bewdley’s St George’s Hall.

The Music in the Hall series continues with a double headliner event on Friday May 4, featuring Nashville based soul fusion singer Kyshona, and acclaimed Irish husband and wife duo The Remedy Club.

Originally hailing from Georgia, singer-songwriter Kyshona Armstrong will delight the hall with her introspective, expressive roots-soul and gospel originals.

Kyshona returns for her second UK tour, set to deliver her personal and politically engaged Americana, as heard in her recent single ‘Same Blood.’

As a music therapist, Kyshona enabled others to experience the healing properties of music, writing songs with incarcerated adults and school children with emotional behaviour disorders, by singing and playing her acoustic guitar.

Also gracing the stage is The Remedy club, an Americana and Roots duo from Ireland comprising of praised guitarist Kj McEvoy and vocalist Aileen Mythen.

The married couple have recently released their new album, ‘Lovers, Legends and Lost Causes’ which has been well received in Ireland and the UK.

The album was mixed in Nashville by five-time Grammy award winner Ray Kennedy, who previously worked with American country legends such as Willie Nelson, Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams.

The band are expected to bring both their intimate and soulful music to the stage, as well as high energy, hoedown stomping roots moments.

Local youth artist Isabella Gregory will play an opening set to initiate the evening.

Tickets are £12.00 online at www.musicinthehall.co.uk, www.thehall-bewdley.org.uk, or from Hall Café.

Doors open 7.30pm.
