THE Chief Executive of Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust that covers Tenbury and the Teme Valley and provides acute hospital services has been named one of the top NHS leaders in the country.
Sarah Dugan was named in the Health Service Journal’s top 50 top Chief Executives working in the NHS.
The list is compiled based on the personal example set by the Chief Executive, the performance of their Trust and the contribution they have made to the wider health and care system.
The Health and Care Trust is the main provider of mental health, community nursing and therapy services in Worcestershire.
It has been led by Ms Duggan since it was formed in 2011.
Rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission, The Trust also runs the county’s Community Hospitals and Recovery Units.
It provides a range of services for children and adults in the community, in people’s own homes, in schools, community centres and care homes.
Ms Duggan has also taken the chief executive lead role for the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Sustainability and Transformation Partnership.
This is the longer-term plan to provide safe, effective and sustainable care in the two counties.
