There are fantastic tales to be told across the borough this month to celebrate National Share a Story Month.
During May Dudley Council's library staff will share stories and encourage a love of reading at libraries, nurseries and local visitor attractions to mark the month-long celebrations.
The celebrations start at Dudley Zoo today (Saturday May 3) when librarian Sue Lovell shares animal tales with children and their families. Sue will be there from 11am.
There will also be magical stories and entertainment at Broadfield House Glass Museum today (Saturday May 3) when librarians Hazel Birt and Louise Clark stop by from noon to 4pm.
During the month there's a treat in store for children as early years librarian Alyson Bryant takes a tour of borough nurseries and playgroups to share well loved stories.
On Monday May 12 storyteller Louise Everist will spin tales aimed at children under five at Halesowen and Cradley libraries.
The month-long celebrations will draw to a close on Tuesday May 27 as librarians share traditional tales at the Black Country Living Museum in the old school room and at the Red House Glass Cone, Wordsley.
Linda Sanders, director of adult, community and housing services, said: "We all love a good story and the month-long celebrations are about encouraging everyone including children and their families to discover a love of reading and storytelling.
