Apprenticeships on the up

Stourbridge and Cradley MP Lynda Waltho has welcomed the news the number of people completing apprenticeships in the borough has risen dramatically.

The rate of apprenticeships has risen by 150 per cent from 2002 to 2006.

Lynda said: "It's wonderful news the number of people completing apprenticeships in the borough has risen by 150 per cent in recent years.

"It really is a great success story and the people who worked so hard to gain these new skills should be really proud of themselves.

"Apprenticeships are great opportunities for people to get on in work and in life and I know that businesses will be reaping the rewards of training apprentices."
