THOUSANDS of revellers made the 2008 Party in Mary Stevens Park a day to remember for visitors and artists alike.
Record numbers of partygoers ensured the event was a huge success as families enjoyed a wide range of attractions while music fans saw a packed programme of live acts.
Among many live acts on three stages during the day, X-Factor stars Eton Road got the crowd dancing at the main stage with a set of old favourites mixed in with original songs.
The scouse singers stayed on to sign autographs and join DJs from Stourbridge radio station The Bridge as they compered the event from the bandstand in the centre of the Norton park.
Stunt display team Independent Horse wowed crowds with their extreme riding skills while visitors made the most of a fun fair which included rides, stalls and many other traditional features.
Even the weather played its part, early rain dried up to help encourage up to an estimated 15,000 members of the public to visit the event, on Monday May 5.
Proceeds from the party will be used for improvements to the popular park, specifically the development of a cafe by the Friends of Mary Stevens Park who organised the event.
Cllr Mike Attwood, from the friends group, said: "Everybody was very pleased, it was a very successful day and the friends group got a big slice of money for the cafe."
