THE Guild met on the 16th April. The Chairman opened the meeting, welcoming members.

The Secretary read the minutes of the last meeting which were accepted by members.

The treasurer gave her financial report.

Pat Purcel introduced the officers and committee to Guild members.

Shirley Evans reported she had been on the Federation meeting.

There will be an international Day on the 14th May at the Wollaston Village Hall, which will be "A Journey to the East".

The Federation luncheon will be on the 28th July at the Mill Alverley.

The 5th Wednesday meeting will take place on the 30th April at the Community Centre and will be a table top games evening.

The Chairman led the discussion on the cancellation of the 261 bus route to Russells Hall Hospital, there will be further meetings on this subject as it will be causing problems for many people living in Wall Heath.

The Chairman then introduced Mr Patrick Baird of the Central Library in Birmingham who gave a most interesting talk on the "Life and Music of David Hughes".

The next meeting will be on the 21st May, when the speaker will be John Sparry.

New members will always be made welcome.
