WE celebrated our 38th Birthday in style at The Granary for lunch.

As the President was unable to attend, Chairman Pauline Roberts said Grace'. We were then served a delicious three course meal, followed by coffee and mints.

Pauline had only a few notices. There would be a plant sale at our next meeting, so members were urged to raid their gardens for surplus plants.

The proposed trip to Quarry Bank Mill on 11th June had so far been poorly supported, and Pauline asked for other members to consider this, as it should prove to be a grand day out. Friends and partners could also be included.

Pauline had provided very pretty flower arrangements for each table, and everyone had been given raffle tickets with one lucky winner to take home the flowers. Betty Butler thanked Pauline for organising the whole event so well.

Our next meeting will take place at 7:30pm on 20th May, at Oldswinford School, Field Lane, when the speaker will be Sue Merrill, her subject From One Pig to Another'.

We shall be pleased to see visitors and new members.
