THE Vice Chairman Mrs Beryl Hornbucke welcomed the speakers, Mr and Mrs Pamplin, President Tom Hadgkiss, members and 2 new members to the meeting.

A get well card has been sent to Eddie Hodgkin. Details for a weekend in Essex where we would be visiting gardens there, were finalised. members were asked to pay for our outing to Wales Botanic Gardens in July.

The head Storeman told members there was a few potatoes left and quite a selection of garden needs for sale every Sunday morning at the Shed on the allotment site in South Road. The speaker then gave an illustrated talk about certain aspects of prepogation. The vote of thanks were given by Tim Baker.

At the next meeting on May 9th, the speaker will be Donald Everett, talking about growing summer bulbs and lilies.

The competition winners are as follows; Sprouting Broccoli, Adam Greathead. Bunch of Wallflowers, Adam Greathead. Multi Headed Daffodils, Martin Grice. Short Bread, Mrs Hults. Savoury Flan, Mrs M Mckay The next meeting will be on 19th May.
